Welcome!

Hello, my name is Ms. Makaila Luersman. I have just graduated from the University of Findlay in 2027 with a bachelor's degree with a licensure of Primary Education and Early Intervention Specialist! I am licensed to teach grades Pre-K to 5th grade in subjects such as math, English language arts, history, and science as well as students with intellectual disabilities. I graduated in 2023 from Bath High School with my honors diploma where I was involved in the National Honors Society for my junior and senior years and participated in a volunteer club for all four years of high school. I also was involved in a local dance studio for seven years and was an assistant instructor my senior year once a week. The major principles of my life are friends, family, and service. I try to volunteer as much a possible because it is a very rewarding experience. My friends and family mean everything to me and have always been my number one supporters. I am the oldest of 5 girls and my family is a foster family that has had over 40 children in our family. Fostering is actually made me want to become a teacher because I saw how, to most of the children, unimportant education was to them. However, the children that did care about school, did because of their teachers. I also so how a lot of the children just needed a little love and support. So, I wanted to be that teacher. The one that made her students want to go to school because she loves and supports them and they can recognize that. I am very excited to start this next chapter of my life and be that teacher!
